I love the way industrial design and craft intersect in this lace fence by Dutch design house Demakersvan. The perfect symmetry of the fence is beautifully eroded by the almost parasite-like decorative shapes.

That’s so cool. I love it. It is very organic – it seems almost tropical… Makes a plain wire fence seem quite beautiful.

When you think about it, a simple wire fence is a beautiful piece of functional design it’s just that they are so ubiquitous that they lose that meaning.
