Tonight I made one of my favourite winter soup recipes, a curried lentil, carrot and cashew soup. The recipe was passed on by a friend, a few years ago, but I seem to recall that it came from the Vegie Food book.

From shimmer to shiver
I got back a couple of days ago from a lovely holiday in Noosa Heads, Queensland. It was a perfect spot for a winter escape: the climate was mild, the sun was shining and the water was shimmering.
